Surah “Those Who Drag Forth, Soul-snatchers, Those Who Pulled Out”

as rendered by Saeed Malik — 46 verses

By the wresters, claiming all
By the energizers, imparting vigor
By the buoyant forces, holding aloft
And by the leading forces, in the lead
And by the ushers, [ushering] a command
On a day, the tremor will shock,
The aftershock following it.
Hearts that day, throbbing
their sights humbled.
They [now] say, “Will we be necessarily turned back into the original state?
Even after we have become crumbled bones?”
They had said: “That then would be a losing redo.”
Whereas, it is only a single reprimand,
then promptly they will be in full wakefulness
Has a telling of Moses come to you?
When HIS Rabb called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,
“Go to Pharaoh, he indeed has transgressed all bounds—
Then say, ‘Are you inclined to purifying yourself?
And that I guide you toward your Rabb, so you acquire awe.’”
Then, he showed him the transcendent sign.
Whereupon he dismissed it as a lie and renounced,
then he turned his back, purposefully hurrying
Then he assembled [his team], and gave a wider call—
And so, he said, “I am your supreme lord.”
So, Allah seized him, in an exemplary punishment of the last and the first [of his transgressions].
Behold in that is a clear lesson for one in awe [of God].
Are you a stronger creation or the sky? HE built it,
HE raised its dome and then perfected it.
HE made dark its night and brought forth its light of day.
And the earth after that— HE spread her out
HE drew out her water from her, and her pasture
And the mountains— HE anchored them—
[All] as temporal provisions for you and your livestock.
Then when the great overwhelming calamity is on hand
on a day when man remembers what he had pursued
and Jaīm  is brought into view for whoever is to see.
Thereupon as for one who transgressed bounds,
while he prioritized the earthly life—
Then surely, Jaīm  is the lodging.
And as for one who feared the standing of his Rabb, and restrained the self from capricious desires—
Then surely, Paradise is the lodging.
They ask you about the hour: “When is its mooring?”
In what aspect of its reminder are you [in charge]?
Unto your Rabb is its culmination.
You are only a warner to one in awe of it
On the day they see it, it will be to them as if they had tarried not except an evening or its forenoon.
