By (Wa) those who extract (cause to die) (En'Naaziääti)* by drowning (Gar'qaa),
and (Wa) those who revive (En'Naashitoati) by resuscitating (Nash'toa),
and (Wa) those who glide (Es'Saabihaati) by floating (Sab'haa),
and (Fa) those who compete (Es'Saabiqaati) by racing (Sab'qaa),
and (Fa) those who arrange (El'Mudabbiraati) a matter (Am'raa),
on the day (Yaw'ma) the tremor (Er'Raajifa') will quake (Tar'jufu),
it will be followed (Tat'bau-haa) by another (Er'Raadifa').
On that day (Yaw'maizin), hearts (Quluubun) will be throbbing (Waajifa').
Their eyesight (Ab'soaru-haa) will be humbled (Khaashiä’).
They will say (Yaquuluuna), "Have (A-) we indeed (-inna) been (La) returned (Mar'duuduuna) to (Fii) the original state (El'Haafira')?!
"When (A-izaa) we had become (Kunnaa) decayed (Nakhira’) bones (Ezoaman)?!"
They will say (Qaalu'), "That (Til'ka); then (Izan), is a losing (Khaasira’) return (Karratun)."
And (Fa) it (Hiya) will only (Innama) be a single (Waahidat’) rebuke (Zaj'ratun).
And (Fa) then (Izaa) they (Hum) will be in (Bi) vigilance (Es'Saahira').
Has (Hal') the discourse (Hadiithu) of Moses (Muusa) reached you (s) (Ataa-ka)? (20:9)
When (Iz') his LORD (Rabbu-hu) called him (Naadaa-hu) at (Bi) the Holy (El'Muqaddasi) Valley (El’Waadi) of Tuwa (Tuwan), (20:12)
"Go (Ez'hab') to (ilaa) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na). Indeed, he (Innahu) has transgressed (Togaa).”
And (Fa) say (Qul'), "Would you like (Hal'la-ka) to (ilaa An) be purified (Tazakkaa),
and (Wa) I (Moses) will lead you (Ah'diya-ka) to (ilaa) your LORD (Rabbi-ka) so (Fa) you would fear (Takh'sha)?"
And (Fa) he (Moses) showed him (Araa-hu) a major (El'Kub'raa) sign (El'Aayata),
but (Fa) he (Pharaoh) denied (Kazzaba) and (Wa) disobeyed (Äsoa).
Then (Thumma) he turned back (Ad'bara), striving (Yas'ää).
And (Fa) he summoned (Naadaa) and assembled (Hashara).
And (Fa) he said (Qaala), "I am (Ana') your lord (Rabbu-kumu); the highest (El'A'laa)."
So (Fa) GOD (Ellahu) seized him (Akhaza-hu) by exemplary punishment (Nakaala) for the first (El'Uulaa) and (Wa) the last (El'Aakhirati).
Indeed (Inna), there is (La) a lesson (Eb'ratan) in (Fii) that (Zaalika) for whomever (Liman) fears (Yakh'shaa).
Are you (p) (A-antum') more difficult (Ashaddu) in creation (Khal'qaan) or (Ami) the sky (Es'Samaau)? HE (God) constructed it (Banaa-haa)?
HE raised (Rafaä) its ceiling (Sam'ka-haa) and (Fa) organized it (Sawwaa-ha).
And (Wa) HE darkened (Ag'tosha) its night (Lai'la-haa) and brought forth (Akh'raja) its forenoon (Duhaa-ha).
And (Wa) after (Ba'da) that (Zaalika) HE spread out (Dahaa-ha) the earth (El'Ar'do).
HE produces (Akh'raja) its water (Maa’a-haa) from it (Min'ha) and (Wa) its pasture (Mar'ää-ha),
and (Wa) the mountains (El'Jibaala) HE laid them (Ar'saa-ha)
as provision (enjoyment) (Mataa’än) for you (Lakum') and (Wa) for (Li) your livestock (An'äämi-kum').
And (Fa) when (Izaa) the major (El'Kub'raa) calamity (Ettoammatu) comes (Jaa'ati),
the day (Yaw'ma) the human being (El' Insaanu) will remember (Yatazakkaru) what (Maa) he strove (Saää).
And (Wa) Hell (El'Jahiimu) will be exposed (Burrizati) for those who (Liman) can see (Yaraa).
As for (Fa Ammaa) one who (Man) transgressed (Togaa)
and (Wa) preferred (Aathara) the worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaata),
then (Fa) indeed (Inna), Hell (El'Jahiima) will be (Hiya) the refuge (El'Ma'waa).
And (Wa) as for (Ammaa) one who (Man') feared (Khaafa) the position (Maqaama) of his LORD (Rabbi-hi), and (Wa) refrained (Nahaa) the self (soul) (En'Naf'sa) from (Äni) inclination (El'Hawaa),
then (Fa) indeed (Inna), the Garden (El'Jannata) will be (Hiya) the refuge (El'Ma'waa).
They ask you (s) (Yas'aluunaka) about (Äni) the Hour (7:187) (Es'Saaäti), "When (Ayyaana) will it take place (Mur'saa-ha)?”
while (Fiima) you (s) (Anta) are with (Min) its remembrance (Zik'raa-ha),
to (ilaa) your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka) is its ending (Muntahaa-ha).
You (s) (Anta) are only (Innamaa) a warner (Munziru) for whoever (Man) fears it (Yakh'shaa-ha).
The day (Yaw'ma) they see it (Yaraw'na-ha), it will be as if they (Ka-anna-hum') had only (Lam' illa) lingered (Yal'bathuu') for an evening (Äshiyyatan) or (Aw') its forenoon (Duhaa-ha).
