Surah “The Family of Imran, The House of Imran”

as rendered by Zulfiquar Ali Bhotto — 200 verses

3:1
Alif [Common sense], Lam [Self references], Meem [Natural sciences].
3:2
Allah! There is no God except Him, the Ever-Living, the Ever-Lasting.
3:3
He sent down upon you [O Muhammad] the Book in the truth self confirming what is in between its two hands [the guidance, Qur'an 2:2] and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel
3:4
Previously as guidance for the people, and He sent down the Criterion [Qur'an 2:3-4, to self checkout if one is in Qur'an 2:5]. Indeed, those who have disbelieved in the verses of Allah [Qur'an 2:2-5] are [in Qur'an 2:6]; for them is a severe punishment. Allah is Almighty, Lord of Revenge.
3:5
[Regarding ones in, Qur'an 2:8] Indeed, it is Allah, upon Him is hidden not a thing in the earth nor in the heaven.
3:6
He is the One Who forms you [believers, infidels, and hypocrites, Qur'an 2:5, Qur'an 2:6, and Qur'an 2:8] in the wombs as He wills. There is no god but Him, the Almighty, the Wise.
3:7
He is the one who sent down upon you [O Muhammad] the Book. Some of its verses are absolutely clear; they are the pivots of the Book. Few others are elusive [politically correct, subjective to weights and biases of current affairs]. Then as for those in whose hearts there is deviation, so they follow what is elusive thereof, seeking test [ill-adapting their weights and biases], and seeking for its [pivotal] interpretation. But not except Allah knows its [pivotal] interpretation? And those who are firmly confident in knowledge say: "We believe in it, all is from our Lord." But not except possessors of understanding will take heed.
3:8
[Who say], "Our Lord! do not let our hearts deviate after you have guided us [through its pivotal verses]. Give us from Your welcome, mercy [criterion to understand its elusive verses, Qur'an 8:29]. Indeed, You are the Giver.
3:9
Our Lord, surely You will gather the people for a Day, there is no doubt in it." Indeed, Allah does not break the promise.
Indeed, those who disbelieved [in pride of their wealth or children], it will not avail on them, their money, nor their children from Allah, a thing. And those, they are fuel of the Fire.
[Belying in pride of wealth and children] was the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They belied about Our verses, so Allah seized them in their sins. And Allah is severe in penalty.
Say [O Muhammad] to those who disbelieved, "You will be overcome and gathered together to Hell, and wretched is the resting place."
Indeed a sign [about Qur'an 3:12] was for you there in the two groups that met [in the battle of Badr]: One group was fighting in the way of Allah and another was infidel. They [the believers] saw them as twice of themselves with their eyes. Allah strengthens with His help whom He wills. Surely, in this is a lesson for those who have sight.
Beautified for mankind is the love of desires of the women and the sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle, and tilled land. That [beautification] is an enjoyment of this worldly life. But Allah has with Him the best adobe.
Say, "Shall I inform you about [a beauty] better than that? For those who feared on their Lord are gardens [in paradise] flowing from beneath which are the rivers, abiding in it for ever, and are purified spouses, and good pleasure from Allah. And Allah is Seer about the slaves.
Those who [feared] say, "Our Lord, indeed we believed, and forgive us for our sins, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
The patient ones, and the truthful ones, and the devoutly obedient ones, and the donors and the seekers of forgiveness before dawn."
Allah bears witness therethat, there is no god except Him, and [so do] the angels, and the possessors of the knowledge. He is ever established in the justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Indeed, the religion with Allah, is the Islam. And those who were given the Book did not differ [from the people of knowledge, Qur'an 3:18] except from [their witness and beliefs: there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and He is ever established in justice, Qur'an 3:18] after what came to them, the [so called] knowledge out of envy between themselves [e.g., Qur'an 2:213, Qur'an 2:247]. And whoever disbelieves in the signs of Allah, for sure, Allah is swift in reckoning.
So if they wrangle you [O Muhammad], then say, "I have submitted my face [identity] for Allah, and [likewise] whoever followed me [Qur'an 2:136, Qur'an 6:162, Qur'an 3:102].” And say to those who were given the Book and to the illiterates, "Have you submitted [Qur'an 2:137]?” So if they have submitted, then surely they have been guided. But if they have turned away [Qur'an 3:119 and Qur'an 2:14, respectively], so upon you is only the conveyance. And Allah is All-Seeing about the slaves.
Indeed, those who disbelieved in the signs of Allah and kill the prophets without being true [to themselves, e.g., Qur'an 3:183] and kill those who command the justice [about their being true to themselves] from the people, so give them the tidings about a painful punishment.
Those are the ones whose deeds had become fruitless in this world and the Hereafter, and for them there will be no helpers.
Have you not seen [O Muhammad], those [oppressors, Qur'an 2:59, Qur'an 7:166] who were given a share of the Book? They are called to the Book of Allah [Qur'an, Qur'an 4:174] that it would establish [their oppression] between them; then a party of them [like them] turn away and they are refusing.
That is because they said, "The Fire will not touch us except for a few days." And what they [Qur'an 2:59] had been inventing, deluded them in their religion.
So how will it be when We gathered them for a Day concerning which there is no doubt? And each soul will be compensated with what it has earned, and they will not be oppressed.
Say [O Muhammad], "O Allah! Owner of the Kingship! You bring the kingship to whom You will and you strip the kingship from whom You will. And You honour whom You will and disgrace whom You will. In Your Hand is all the good. Indeed, You are over everything competent.
You cause the night to enter in the day, and You cause the day to enter in the night; and You bring the living out from the dead, and You bring the dead from the living. And You give livelihood to whom You will without reckoning."
The believers should not take the infidels as allies rather than the believers. And whoever does that, he has not from Allah concerning a thing, except that you fear from them, a fear. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the destiny.
Say, "If you hide what is in your hearts or declare it, Allah knows it." And He knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth. And Allah is over everything competent."
On a [departing] day, every [departing] soul will find whatever it has worked of goodness, presented back and forth, along with whatever it worked of evil. The [departing] soul would wish if the time gap between this [back and forth presentation] and it [its departure] is far. And Allah warns you about Himself. And Allah is Ever Gracious about the slaves.
Say [O Muhammad], "If you love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and will forgive your sins for you." And Allah is All-Forgiving, Merciful.”
Say, [O Muhammad] "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger.” Then if they turn away, then indeed, Allah does not love the infidels.
Indeed, Allah chose Adam, and Noah, and the family of Abraham, and the family of Imran over the worlds.
Progeny, some of them form some others. And Allah is Hearer, Knowing.
[Mention, O Muhammad], when the woman of Imran said, "My Lord, I vow to You that which is in my womb, dedicated [to your service], so accept from me. Indeed You are the hearing, the knowing."
So when she [woman of Imran] delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was most knowing about what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge in You for her and [for] her descendants from Satan, the outcast."
So [considering these pleas] her Lord accepted her [Mary] with a good acceptance and caused her [Mary] to grow in a good manner [from female-to-male-to-female, in response to the first plea] and put her [Mary] in the care of Zechariah [in response to the second plea]. Whenever Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision [heavenly food causing her gender to alter and settle]. He said, "O Mary, from where is this [coming] to you?" She said, "It is from Allah. Indeed, Allah provides for whom He wills without account."
At that, Zechariah called upon his Lord, saying, "My Lord, grant me from Your welcome a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication."
So the angels called out to him while he stood praying this in the sanctuary that: "Allah gives you glad tidings of [the birth of] John who will be confirming about a term of Allah [in response to the third plea, Qur'an 3:36, repeating Adam through Mary's female-male-female gender alteration, Qur'an 29:19, Qur'an 30:11, Qur'an 10:34, Qur'an 85:13] and [John] will be a great leader, and chaste, and a prophet from the righteous.”
He said, "My Lord, how can there be for me a boy, while already have reached me, an old age, and my woman is barren?" [The angel] said, "Such is Allah; He does what He wills [repeating the birth of Isaac, Qur'an 11:72, Qur'an 29:19, Qur'an 30:11, Qur'an 10:34, Qur'an 85:13]."
He said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not be able to speak to the people for three days except by gesture [as a punishment, for doubting]. And remember your Lord much and glorify [Him] in the evening and the morning [to avoid an extension]."
And [mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you and purified you [from having premale, postfemale, prenatal, postpartum depression problems Qur'an 46:15] and chosen you over the women of the worlds.
O Mary, be devoted completely to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer]."
That is from the news of the unseen [history] which We reveal to you [O Muhammad]. And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them should be Mary's guardian. Nor were you with them when they were disputing [over her guardianship].
[And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings about a term from Him [repeating creation of Adam, Qur'an 29:19, Qur'an 30:11, Qur'an 10:34, Qur'an 85:13], whose name shall be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, will be distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and one of those who are welcomed warmly [as newborn by their people],
And he shall speak to the people in [his] infancy and adulthood [for your support] and will be one of the righteous.”
She said, "My Lord, how shall I have a boy while no man has touched me?" An angel [angels are not female, Qur'an 17:40] said, "Such is Allah; He creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, `Be,' and it is.
And Allah will teach him writing, and the wisdom, and the Torah [so anointed to take over its authority from Jews due to Qur'an 2:75-76], and the Gospel.
And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], `Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a scroll, then I breathe into it and it becomes a scroll, by permission of Allah [containing a complete list of corruption of the Torah]. And [through it] I cure the blind [to see the truth] and the leper [to enjoy the faith], and I give life [faith] to the dead [militant atheist Jews], by permission of Allah. And [as a demo of my access to history] I inform you about what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.
And [I have come] confirming what is in between my hands of the Torah [a portion of the Torah of his scroll] and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden upon you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me.
Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path.'"
So when Jesus sensed the disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my helpers to [the plan of] Allah?" The disciples said, "We are helpers to Allah. We have believed in Allah; and you should bear witness that we are Muslims [Qur'an 5:117]."
"Our Lord, we have believed in what You sent down and have followed the messenger [Jesus], so write us with the witnesses."
And they planned [against Jesus] and Allah planned as well. Allah is the best of planners.
[Mention] when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will recall you [from all your past] and raise you to Myself [as you are] and clear, purge you from those who disbelieved. And I [thereby by shunning you from crucifixion] will make those who followed you superior to those who disbelieved till the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is [now] your [living body, prophethood, portion of the Book, mission, biographical data: language, lineage, last but not least photo ID] return, and I will establish between your [followers and foes] this [unlearning process of yours] wherein you all were differing [to sort out its know-how]. (Human brain suffers mild stroke in every single heart-beat and due to neuron crash/resetting in failed recovery instances it unlearns learned subjects.)
So, as for those who disbelieved, so I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and there will be no helpers for them.
And as for those who believed and worked righteous deeds, so He will give them in full their rewards. And Allah does not love the oppressors."
This is what We recite upon you, [O Muhammad], from the verses and the Indisputable Reminder.
Indeed, the example of Jesus in the sight of Allah is like the example of Adam [Qur'an 30:11, Qur'an 10:34, Qur'an 85:13]. He created him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.
The truth is from your Lord, so [O Muhammad] do not be of the doubters.
Then whoever wrangles you [O Muhammad] about it [Qur'an] after whatever of the knowledge came to you [so far], so say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then we invoke [earnestly] for setting up the curse of Allah upon the liars."
Indeed, this [Book], it has the true narration [everything else has all the lies]. And there is no God except Allah. And indeed, Allah is the Exalted in Might, the Indisputable.
So if they turn away, then indeed, Allah is Knowing about the corrupters [Qur'an 3:61, all the lying authors of previous Book].
Say [O Muhammad], "O People of the Book, come to a term that is bilateral between us and between you, that we will not worship except Allah and that we do not associate with Him anything and do not some of us take others as lords rather than Allah." So if they turned away, then say [O Muslims], "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting]."
O People of the Book, why do you wrangle concerning Abraham while the Torah and the Gospel were not not sent down except after him? Then will you not reason [only a prophet can fix it]?
Here you are, those who have argued in what you have knowledge about him [this prophet Muhammad], but why do you argue in what you have no knowledge about him [Abraham]? And Allah knows, while you know not.
Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a Monotheist, a muslim. And he was not of the polytheists.
Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham from the people are those who followed him [with knowledge Qur'an 3:66] and this, the prophet [Muhammad], and those who believed. And Allah is the ally of the believers.
A party of the People of the Book wished if they could stray you [O Muslims]. But they do not stray except themselves, and they perceive [it] not [due to cognitive impairment caused by Jewish cognitive warriors: P**l, M*****w, M**k, L**e and J**n].
O People of the Book, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while you bear witness [to their truth]?
O People of the Book, why do you confuse the truth with the falsehood and hide the truth while you know?
And a party of the People of the Book said [to other party], "Believe in what was sent down to the believers [Muslim] at the beginning of the day and disbelieve in it at its end; perhaps [by seeing this] they [muslims] may return [to disbelief].
And do not trust [this tactic] except to whoever follow your religion". Say [to them], "Indeed, the guidance is the guidance of Allah. [Do you fear] lest someone be given alike of what you were given or they may argue your [corruption] on your Lord?" Say, "Indeed, the bounty is in the hand of Allah, He grants it to whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing, All-Knowing.
He chooses by His mercy whoever He wills. And Allah is the owner of the greatest bounty."
And from the People of the Book is he who, if you entrust him with a great amount [of wealth], he will return it to you. And from them is he who, if you entrust him with a [single] silver coin, he will not return it to you except that which you be constantly over it stalled. That is because they said, "Not upon us concerning the gentiles a way [to blame]." And they are telling the lie on Allah while they know [it].
No but is there! Whoever fulfilled his commitment and feared [Allah], for sure, Allah loves those who fear Him.
Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their [own] oaths for a small price [Jewish supremacy], those there will be no share for them in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them or look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And for them is a painful punishment.
And indeed, from them is a party [Qur'an 3:75 who said, "Not upon us concerning the gentiles a way to blame," e.g., Jewish agents: P**l, M*****w, M**k, L**e, and J**n], they twist their tongues around concerning the Book [they rejected] so you [people] may think it [their writing] is from the Book while it is not from the Book. And they say: "It is from Allah!", while it is not from Allah. They say the lies against Allah while they are knowing [for settling Jewish supremacy over Greco-Roman white supremacy].
It is not for a human [person] that Allah should give him the Book, and the authority and prophethood and then he would say to mankind, "Be my worshipers rather than Allah's," but [he says], "Be faithful leaders of the Lord in what you have been teaching the Book [under the authority, Qur'an 3:48-50] and in what you have been studying."
Nor could he order you [people] to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he order you about the blasphemy after you had been Muslims [Qur'an 61:6, Qur'an 3:81-82]?
And [remember] when Allah took the covenant of the prophets: "To whatever [border] I have given you of a Book and wisdom; then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you [either book, wisdom, or prophet-hood, Qur'an 37:37], you must believe in him and support him." [Allah] said, "Do you affirm and take upon that My heavy covenant?" They said, "We affirmed." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you from the witnesses."
So whoever turned away after that [Qur'an 3:81, religion brings power, power after a while brings corruption, corruption brings new prophets], then those, they are the defiantly corrupt.
Is it then other than the religion of Allah they are seeking [to keep their power unchecked]. But to Him have submitted whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him they will be returned?
Say [O Muhammad], "We have believed in Allah and in what was sent down upon us and in what was sent down upon Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants; and in what was given to Moses, and Jesus, and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no discrimination between any of them, and we are Muslims belonging to Him."
And whoever seeks other than Islam as a religion, it will not be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be one of the losers.
How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after they had believed, and had witnessed that the Messenger [Muhammad (saw)] is true, and the proofs had come to them? And Allah does not guide the oppressing people.
Those, their recompense is that upon them is the curse of Allah, and the angels, and the people altogether.
Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be granted respite.
Except those who repented later on and reformed, then indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Indeed, those who disbelieved after their belief, then they add more in disbelief, their repentance will not be accepted; and those, they are the ones astray.
Indeed, those who disbelieved and die while they are infidels, it will not be accepted from any of them, the earth full of gold, even if he offers it in ransom. Those, for them is a painful punishment, and no helpers will be there for them.
You [people] shall not attain righteousness until you spend from what you love. And nothing you spend but surely Allah is Knowing about it.
All food was lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel made unlawful upon himself before that the Torah was sent down. Say, [O Muhammad], "So bring the Torah and recite it, if you are truthful ones."
And whoever invents against Allah the lie after that, then those, they are the oppressors.
Say [O Muhammad], "Allah has asserted [Muhammad] for you to follow the religion of Abraham, a monotheist; and he was not of the polytheists."
Indeed, the first House [of worship] placed for mankind is the one in Bakkah; blessed and a guidance for the worlds.
In it are obvious signs [such as] the remaining place of Abraham. And whoever enters it, he shall be safe. And [due] is there to Allah upon mankind a pilgrimage to the House, whoever is able to find a way to it. And whoever disbelieves, for sure, Allah is independent of the worlds.
Say, "O People of the Book, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah while Allah is upon what you are working, Witness?"
Say, "O People of the Book, why do you hinder from the way of Allah whoever have believed, wanting to spin it, while you are witnesses [to its truth]? And Allah is not unaware on what you are working."
O you who believed, if you obey a party of those who were given the Book, they will turn you back, after your belief, as infidels.
And how could you disbelieve, while upon you are recited the verses of Allah and within you is His Messenger? And whoever holds firmly about Allah, then he has certainly been guided to a straight path.
O you who believed, fear Allah in [His] true way, He should be feared and do not die except you are Muslims.
And [the true ways:] you should hold firmly with the rope of Allah, altogether and do not be divided. And remember the favour of Allah upon you; when you were enemies then He brought your hearts together, so you became, by His favour, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, then He saved you from it. Thus does Allah manifest His verses to you; perhaps you may be guided.
And [in addition] there should be from you a group inviting to the goodness, commanding about the right and forbidding on the wrong. And those, they are the successful ones.
And [moreover] you should not be like those who became divided [in sects] and differed after the proofs came to them. And those, for them is a great punishment.
[And be always aware of] a Day [of division when some] faces will be brightened and [other] faces will be darkened. As for those whose faces are darkened, [will be told], "Did you disbelieve after your belief? So taste the punishment about what you were disbelieving."
But as for those whose faces are brightened: so they are in the mercy of Allah. They will abide therein for ever.
These are the verses of Allah [Qur'an 3:102-107, the true way to fear Allah], We recite upon you [O Muhammad] in the truth. And Allah does not want oppression for the worlds.
And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And to Allah [all] the matters will be returned.
You were the best nation emerged for mankind. You enjoin about the right and forbid on the wrong and believe in Allah. If only the people of the Book had believed, it would have been better for them. From them some are the believers [Qur'an 3:199] while most of them are the rebels.
They [Jews] will not harm you except a hurt. And if they fight you, they will [soon] turn their backs; then they will not be aided.
The humiliation would be pitched upon them wherever, in whatever they were found with, except with a rope from Allah and a rope from the people. They have incurred the wrath of Allah and was pitched upon them, the poverty. That is because they were disbelieving in the verses of Allah and killing the prophets without being true [to themselves, Qur'an 3:183]. That was with what they disobeyed and they were transgressing.
They are not the same. From the people of the Book, a community remaining [as in Qur'an 3:18, Qur'an 3:21, against killing the prophets, rejecting their revelations], reciting the verses of Allah during the night while they prostrate.
They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and enjoin about the right and forbid on the wrong and hasten in the goodness. And those are of the righteous.
And whatever they do from a good, so they will not be denied it [the reward]. And Allah is Knowing about those who fear [Him].
Indeed, those who disbelieved, their possessions will not avail on them nor their children from Allah, a thing. And those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein for ever.
The example of what they spend in this worldly life is like that of a wind wherein is frost that struck the harvest of a people who oppressed themselves then destroyed it. And Allah did not oppress them, but they were oppressing themselves.
O you who believed, do not take as entourage other than yourselves. They will not spare a chance to injure you. Indeed they love whatever distresses you. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is bigger. We have certainly manifested for you the signs, if you were using reason to understand.
Here you are, you are loving them but they do not love you, while you believe in the Book, all of it. And when they meet you, they said, "We believed." But when they are alone, they bite their fingertips upon you out of the rage [Qur'an 3:20]. Say, "Die in your rage". Indeed, Allah is Knowing about what is in the breasts.
If a good touches you, it grieves them; but if a harm strikes you, they rejoice by it. And if you are patient and fear [Allah], their plot will not harm you, a thing. Indeed, Allah is All-Encompassing about what they are working.
And [an example of patience, Qur'an 3:120] when you left your family early morning, to post the believers' stations for the battle [of Uhud]. And Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
When two parties from you were about to become cowardly while Allah was their Guardian. And upon Allah, the believers should rely.
And certainly Allah already gave you victory in [the battle of] Badr while you were few in number. So fear Allah; perhaps you will be thankful.
[Another impatience, Qur'an 3:120 O Muhammad] when you said to the believers, "Doesn't it suffice you that your Lord reinforces you by sending down three thousands of the angels?
No but is there! If you are patient and fear Allah, and they bring you of sudden [on an attack], this time your Lord will reinforce you with five thousands of the angels having mark.
And Allah made it not except as good tidings for you and to reassure your hearts thereby [Qur'an 3:120]. And the victory is not except from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise
That He may cut down a section of those who disbelieved or suppress them so that they turn back frustrated.
You do not have of the matter [Qur'an 3:127, O Muhammad] a thing [to say]. Whether He relents upon them or punishes them, for indeed they are oppressors.
And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
O you who believed, do not consume the usury, doubled and multiplied, and fear Allah; perhaps you may prosper.
And fear the Fire, which is prepared for the infidels.
And obey Allah and the Messenger, perhaps you may obtain mercy.
And race towards forgiveness from your Lord and a paradise as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for those who fear [Allah].
Those who spend in prosperity and difficulty, and the anger suppressors and the forgiving ones, from mankind. And Allah loves the good doers;
And those who, when they committed an obscenity and oppressed their souls, remembered Allah then asked forgiveness for their sins, and who forgives sins except Allah? And they did not persist upon whatever they did while they knew.
Those, their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and paradises flowing from beneath which are the rivers, they will abide therein forever; and excellent is the reward of the workers.
Already many forms [of persistence in oppression, Qur'an 3:135] have passed on before you, so proceed in the earth, and observe how was the end of the beliers.
This [Qur'an 2:2] is a clear statement for the people [the perpetual oppressors, Qur'an 2:137], and a guidance, and instruction for those who guard [against evil].
And do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be the superior ones if you are believers.
If a wound befall you [at Uhud], certainly there has already fallen the [opposing] people, a wound similar to it [at Badr]. And such days, We alternate them [good and bad days] between the people and that Allah may know those who believe, and [may] take martyrs from you. And Allah does not love the oppressors.
And that Allah may clear, purge the believers' [hearts, Qur'an 3:154] and wipe out the infidels.
Or do you think that you will enter Paradise and Allah not yet know those of you who strove, and know the steadfast ones?
And certainly you already were longing for death before that you met it [death]. So certainly you already have seen it, while you are looking on.
Muhammad is not except a messenger. Already have passed away before him the messengers. So if he died or is slain, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will not harm Allah in anything. And Allah will recompense the thankful ones.
It is not for a soul to die except with the leave of Allah, as in an appointed Book. And whoever wants the reward of this world, We will give him thereof; and whoever wants his reward in the Hereafter, We will give him thereof. And We will recompense the thankful ones.
And how many of a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars [none, but Prophet Muhammad (as) and his companions]. So they did not lose assurance due to what afflicted them in the way of Allah, nor did they weaken or yield. And Allah loves the steadfast.
And their words were not except that they said, "Our Lord, forgive for us our sins and our excesses in our [war] affairs, and firmly fix our feet, and give us victory over the disbelieving people."
So Allah gave them the reward of this world, and the good reward of the Hereafter. And Allah loves the good-doers.
O you who believed, if you obey those who disbelieved [cyber agents spreading Qur'an 3:144], they will turn you back on your heels, So you will turn back as losers [in this and next world].
No but is there! Allah is your Guardian, and He is the best of helpers.
Soon We will cast into the hearts of those who disbelieved, the panic, mistrust [Qur'an 3:141] in what they have associated with Allah; what He had not sent down therein an authority. And their refuge is the Fire, and wretched is the adobe of the oppressors.
And surely Allah already fulfilled His promise to you when you were slaying the enemy by His permission until [the moment] when you lost courage and quarrelled about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after what He showed you what you are loving for. From you are some who desire this world, and from you are some who desire the Hereafter. Then he turned you back from them [defeated] that He might test you. And certainly He already forgave you; and Allah is the possessor of a bounty upon the believers.
[Remember] when you were fleeing uphill and not casting a side glance upon anyone while the Messenger was calling in your behind. So Allah repaid you with grief by grief so that you neither grieve upon what escaped you [victory and spoils of war] nor upon what befell you [injury and death]. Allah is All-Aware about what you are working.
Then after grief, He sent down upon you a peaceful drowsiness, engulfing a faction of you. And another faction worried only about themselves, thinking about Allah other than the truth, the thought of ignorance, saying, "Is there anything for us of the matter [to say]?" Say, "Indeed, the matter belongs completely to Allah." They conceal within themselves what they do not reveal to you, saying, "If there was anything from us of the matter [to say], we would not be killed here." Say, "Even if you had been in your houses, those for whom slaying was decreed would have gone forth to the places where they were to be slain." [It was] so that Allah might test what is in your breasts and clear, purge what is in your hearts. And Allah is All-Aware about whatever is the breasts.
Indeed, those of you who turned back on a day when the two armies met [at Uhud], it was only the Satan who made them slip by some of what they have earned. But certainly Allah has already granted forgiveness on them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing.
O you who believed, do not be like those who disbelieved while saying about their brothers when they traveled through the land or went out to fight, "If they had been with us, they would not have died or been killed." For Allah may make that a regret in their hearts. And Allah gives life and causes death, and Allah is All-Seer, about what you are working.
And if you are killed in the way of Allah or die, then forgiveness from Allah and mercy are better than what they are accumulating.
And if you are dead or slain, it is to Allah that you all are gathering.
So by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were gentle to them. And if you were rude and harsh hearted, they would have scattered away from around you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them, and consult them in the matter. So when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].
If Allah helps you [O believers], then there would be no defeat for you; but if He forsakes you then who can help you after Him? And upon Allah, let the believers rely.
It is not for a prophet that he would defraud. And whoever defrauds, will bring with what he defrauded on the Day of Judgement. Then will every soul be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged.
So is He who followed the pleasure of Allah, like one who drew in [himself] anger from Allah and whose adobe is Hell? And wretched is the destiny.
They are in [varying] grades with Allah, and Allah is All-Seer about whatever they are working.
Certainly Allah already conferred a great favour upon the believers, as He sent in them a Messenger from themselves, reciting upon them His verses, and purifying them and teaching them the Book and the wisdom; and that they were before that certainly in obvious astray.
What? When a calamity befell you [on the day of Uhud], although you had afflicted [the enemy in the battle of Badr] with one twice as great, you said, "From where is this?" Say, "It is from yourselves." Indeed, Allah is over ever thing competent.
And what befell you on the day the two armies met, was by permission of Allah, that He might know the believers.
And that He might know the hypocrites. And it was said to them, "Come, fight in the way of Allah or defend." They said, "If we knew fighting, we would have followed you." They were for the disbelief, that day, more welcoming than they are for the faith, saying with their mouths what was not in their hearts. And Allah is most Knowing about what they are hiding.
Those who said about their brothers while sitting [at home], "If they had obeyed us, they would not have been slain." Say, "Then avert death from yourselves, if you should be truthful."
And [O Muhammad] do not worry about those who were killed in the way of Allah [by the] dead. No but be there! [They are] to be living, from their Lord having livelihood,
Rejoicing in what Allah has brought them from His bounty, and exultant about those who have not yet joined them, from those who are behind them; that there is no fear upon them, nor do they grieve.
They are exultant in the favours of Allah and a bounty, and that Allah does not let the reward of the believers go waste.
Those who responded to Allah and the Messenger, even after what afflicted them, the injury [at Uhud], for those who did good from them and feared Allah, will have a great reward.
Those to whom the people [hypocrites] said, "Indeed, the people have gathered to [fight] you, so fear them." But it increased them in faith, and they said, "Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs."
So they returned with favour from Allah and a bounty, and no evil has touched them. And they followed the pleasure of Allah, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
It was only that Satan frightens his supporters. So fear them not, but fear Me, if you are believers.
And do not be grieved, [O Muhammad], by those who hasten into disbelief. Indeed, they cannot harm Allah anything. Allah intends that He will not set up for them a share in the Hereafter. And for them is a severe punishment.
Indeed, those who purchase disbelief by the faith will not harm Allah, in anything. And for them is a painful punishment.
Do not let think those who disbelieved that what We give them as respite is good for their souls. We give them respite so that they may only increase in sin. And for them is a humiliating punishment.
Allah not to ever leave the believers upon what you are against it [their respite], until He separates the evil from the good. Nor Allah ever to inform you [O believers] upon the unseen [when their respite would end]. But Allah chooses from His messengers whomever He wills, so believe in Allah and His messengers. And if you believe and fear Him, then for you is a great reward.
And those who withhold what Allah has given them from His bounty should not think, it [doing such] is good for them. No but is there! It is evil for them. They will be encircled by what they are withholding therewith on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is All-Aware about what you are working.
Certainly Allah has already heard the saying of those [Jews] who said, "Indeed, Allah is poor, and we are rich." We write down what they said, and their killing of the prophets without being true [to themselves, Qur'an 3:183] and will say, "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire.
That is by what your hands have put forth and that Allah is not unjust to the slaves."
Those [are the same people] who said, "Indeed, Allah covenant to us, that we should not believe in any messenger until he brings us with an offering which fire [from heaven] will consume." Say, "There have already come to you messengers before me with the proofs including with what you said. Why then you killed them, if you were truthful?"
So if they belied you, [O Muhammad], so certainly messengers before you were belied. They came with the proofs and Zaboors [written texts] and the enlightening Book.
Every soul will taste the Death, and you will receive your [full] reward on the Day of Resurrection. So whoever is removed from the Fire and admitted to the Paradise, then certainly he is successful. And the life of this world is not except an enjoyment of self-delusion.
You [believers] will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear many hurtful things from those who were given the Book before you, and from those who associate partners. But if you are patient and fear Allah, then indeed, that is of [what is enough] for sorting out all the matters.
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Allah took a covenant of those who were given the Book, [saying], "You must make it clear to the people and not conceal it." Then they threw it behind their backs and exchanged it with a small price. And wretched is what they were purchasing [i.e., Jewish supremacy].
And do not think [O Muhammad] that those who rejoice in what they have brought [so called knowledge, Qur'an 3:19, corruption, Qur'an 5:64 etc], and they love to be praised about what they have not done [submitting to the true knowledge, Qur'an 3:18, enjoying good and forbidding evil, Qur'an 5:63 etc], so do not think them [to be] in safety from the punishment, and for them is a painful punishment.
And to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is competent over everything.
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the difference of the night and the day, there are signs for men of understanding.
Those who remember Allah on whatever is remaining, and waiting, and [abrogated] upon their sides while they are thinking in the creation of the heavens and the earth, [by saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; Glory to You; and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
Our Lord, indeed whomsoever You admit to the Fire, then indeed You have disgraced him. And for the oppressors there are no helpers.
Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to the faith that: `Believe in your Lord,' so we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins, and remove from us, our evil deeds, and recall us [from aftermaths of our evil deeds] with the righteous.
Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not break the promise."
So their Lord responded to them, "Indeed, I will not waste the works of any worker from you, whether male or female. Some of you are of some other. So those who emigrated or were brought out from their homes or were harmed in My way and fought or were killed, I will surely remove from them their misdeeds, and I will surely admit them to paradises, flowing from beneath which are the rivers, as reward from Allah. And Allah has with Him the best reward."
[O Muhammad] it should not deceive you, the going to and fro, of those who disbelieved in the towns.
This is a little enjoyment; then their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place.
But those feared their Lord, for them are paradises, flowing from beneath which are the rivers, they will abide therein forever: a hospitality with Allah. And what is with Allah is best for the righteous.
And rest assured [O you who believed], from the people of the book would always be some who would truly believe in Allah and what was sent down to you; and what was sent down to them [about that would be] humbly submissive to Allah. They will not be with the little price [not be with the Jewish supremacy infected books] verses of Allah were being exchanged with. Those for them their reward is from their Lord. Indeed Allah is swift in reckoning.
O you who believed, be patient and be more patient and remain alert and fear Allah, perhaps you may prosper.
