Has a telling of the Overwhelming Event come to you?
[A countless many] faces that day are downcast—
labored, wearied,
fueling a vehement fire
Slaked from a stagnant spring
They have no food except from Dhari'
It neither nourishes nor gives relief from hunger
[A countless many] faces on that day are blissful—
for their [earthly] striving, content
in a high garden.
They do not hear therein any senseless talk.
In it are flowing springs
In it are exalted thrones
And goblets set in-place
And cushions arrayed
And carpets, endlessly spread
So then do they not look at the camels— how they were created?
And at the sky, how it was raised aloft
And at the mountains, how they are stacked high
And at the land, how it was spread out?
So, keep reminding. You are one charged only to remind.
Not are you one to dictate over them
[Keep reminding], except one who turns away, and has disbelieved—
For Allah will punish him, with the greater punishment.
Verily, unto US is their journey home
Then indeed upon US is their reckoning.
