Surah “The Most High, Glory to your Lord in the Highest”

as rendered by Saeed Malik — 19 verses

Contemplate reverentially the name of your Rabb: The Transcendentally High.
HE WHO created then shaped
And HE WHO measured out [universally], then granted guidance.
And HE WHO brought out the fresh pasture,
then rendered it coiled up stubble.
WE shall have you recite [the Quran] so you will not forget,
except what Allah wills. Surely, HE knows the overt and that which hides
And WE shall ease you toward the ease [of a fulfilled mission]
So, keep reminding if the reminder benefits.
The one in awe shall pay heed,
while the most wretched will spurn it,
the one who will fuel the biggest fire,
then in there he will neither die nor live.
He indeed has succeeded who purifies himself
While he remembered his Rabb’s name—and thus prayed.
Nay! You prioritize the earthly life
while the Hereafter is better and outlasting.
Precisely this is assuredly in the earlier scrolls—
the scrolls of Abraham and Moses.
