By the sky full of the constellations (i.e., group of great stars)
and the Day Promised (i.e., Day of Judgement)
and ˹by the˺ witness and what is witnessed
Destroyed (i.e., cursed) were the companions of the ditch
˹ditch containing˺ the fire full of the fuel
When they sat around it (i.e., ditch containing fire full of fuel)
and they (i.e., companions of the ditch) were witnesses over what they were doing to the believers
and they (i.e., companions of the ditch) did not take revenge from them (i.e., believers), except that they (i.e., believers) believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, the All Praiseworthy
˹Allah˺ the One to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is a Witness over every thing
Indeed, those (i.e., companions of the ditch) who persecuted the believing men and the believing women, then they (i.e., companions of the ditch) did not repent, so for them ˹is˺ the punishment of Hell, and for them ˹is˺ the punishment of the Burning Fire
Indeed, those who believe and do the righteous deeds, for them ˹will be˺ Gardens ˹of Paradise˺ from underneath which the rivers flow. That is the Great success
Indeed, the Grip of your Lord ˹Allah˺ is surely strong
Indeed He ˹Allah˺, He originates (i.e., creates everything) and returns (i.e., restores to life)
and He ˹Allah˺ is the Most-Forgiving, the Most-Loving
Owner of the Throne, the Glorious
Doer of what He ˹Allah˺ intends
Has there come to you ˹O Prophet˺— narration (i.e., story) of the ˹destroyed˺ forces
the forces of˺ pharaoh and ˹the forces of˺ thamûd
Yet! those who disbelieve ˹still persist˺ in denial
and Allah surrounds them from behind
But! It is a Glorious Quran
˹written˺ in a Tablet Preserved (i.e., Guarded)
