When the sky is cleaved apart
And when the celestial lights are made to fall out
And when the seas are poured forth
And when the graves are turned over and emptied
Each soul will know what it sent ahead and what it failed to deliver.
O human being, what deluded you about your most generous Rabb
HE WHO created you, then shaped you, then balanced you
In whichever form— what HE willed, HE cast you.
By no means [is that deniable]. Yet, you belie the Universal Surrender to God
While over you are vigilant preservers—
Noble, keeping record—
they know whatever you do.
For certain, the virtuous will assuredly be in bliss.
And for certain, the depraved will assuredly be in a blaze (jaḥīm).
They will fuel it on the Day of Surrender and Reckoning.
And they are not anywise absentees from it.
What defines for you what the Day of Surrender and Reckoning is?
Further to that, what defines for you what the Day of Surrender and Reckoning is?
[It is] a day a soul will possess no power of any kind for another soul, and the [sole] command that Day belongs to Allah
