Surah “Those Who Drag Forth, Soul-snatchers, Those Who Pulled Out”

as rendered by Safi Kaskas — 46 verses

By those who violently extract
and those who draw out gently
and those who float through space smoothly
and yet Some overtake [others] swiftly
thus they fulfil the [Creator's] purpose.
On the Day when the world will shudder.
Followed by a tremor.
Hearts, that Day, will shiver,
and gaze are lowered in reverent submission.
They say, "Are we to be restored to the original condition?”
After we have turned into decayed bones?
They say, "This will be a losing come back."
But all it will take is a single blast,
and they will be awake and above ground.
Has the story of Moses reached you?
When his Lord called out to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,
"Go to Pharaoh. For he has transgressed,
and ask him, “Would you be willing to purify yourself?
And I will guide you to your Lord So you would be in awe of Him.
And he showed him the greatest sign,
but Pharaoh rejected the offer and disobeyed.
Then he hastily turned away,
and gathered [his people] and proclaimed,
"I am your lord, the Most High."
So God seized him with punishment, as an example, in the life to come as well as in this life:
In this, there is a warning for whomever would fear [God].
Are you more difficult to create or is the heaven that He built?
He raised it high and proportioned it.
He darkened its night and brought out its morning light.
After that He spread out the Earth.
From it, He produced its water and its pasture,
And He set the mountains firmly in place
for you and for your animals to enjoy.
But when the Great Calamity arrives,
a Day when the human being will remember what he has done,
and Hell will be there for all to see,
for him who transgressed
and preferred the life of this world,
for indeed Hell will be his abode.
But as for him who feared to stand one day in front of his Lord and therefore restrained himself from following his whims and desires,
then Heaven will be home.
They ask you about the Hour, “When will it take place?”
How can you possibly know that?
Its time is only known to your Lord.
You are only to warn those who dread it.
On the Day they see it, it will seem as though they only stayed an evening or a morning.
