By those sent in kindness.
By the winds that blow violently, blowing violently.
By those that scatter, scattering.
By those that make distinction, separating.
By those that offer a reminder,
Excusing or warning.
Indeed, what you are threatened with will surely happen.
So when the stars are effaced,
And when the sky is opened,
And when the mountains are blown away,
And when the messengers have a time appointed.
For what day is it delayed?
For the Day of Decision.
And what will make you know what the Day of Decision is?
Woe on that day to the deniers!
Did We not destroy the former people?
Then We cause the later people to follow them.
Thus We do with the sinners.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
Did We not create you from contemptible water?
Then We placed it in an established resting-place,
To a known measure.
And We measured, and excellent are the measurers.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
Did We not make the earth a place of drawing together
Living and dead?
And We made in it lofty firm mountains, and We gave you to drink sweet water.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
Go to that which you used to deny.
Go to a shadow, possessor of three branches.
Not shady nor availing against the flame.
Indeed, it throws sparks like the palace,
As though they were yellow camels.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
This is a day they will not speak,
And it will not be permitted for them, then they will excuse themselves.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
This is the Day of Decision. We gathered you and the former people;
So if you have a plot, then plot against Me.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
Indeed, those who fear are in shades and springs,
And fruits of what they desire.
Eat and drink with good digestion, for what you used to do.
Indeed We, thus We recompense the good-doers.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
Eat and enjoy a little, indeed, you are sinners.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
And when it is said to them, 'Bow,' they do not bow.
Woe on that day to the deniers!
So in what story after it will they believe?
