Surah “The Table, The Table Spread”

as rendered by Verbatim Quran - Mahmoud K — 120 verses

5:1
O you who believed! fulfill your contracts. The unintelligent animals were allowed for you, except what is recited upon you; not allowing the chase while you are prohibited. Indeed, Allah rules whatever He wants.
5:2
O you who believed! Do not make allowed Allah's rites, nor the Prohibited Month, nor the herd, nor the garlands, nor those coming to the Prohibited House pursuing favor and satisfaction from their Lord. But when you are allowed, then you may chase. And let it not urge you, the resentment of folk, who occluded you from the Prohibited Mosque, that you transgress. And cooperate upon probity and ethic, and do not cooperate upon sin and aggression. And protect from Allah. Indeed, Allah is staunch in punishment.
5:3
Prohibited upon you are the demised, and the blood, and the meat of oinker, and whatever hallowed with to other than Allah; and the strangled, and the knocked, and the plummeted, and the gored, and what has been consumed by the beasts except what you trained, and whatever was slaughtered on the monuments. And the swearing by the lots, that is defiance. Today, those who unbelieved have despaired from your religion, so do not be anxious from them, but be anxious from Me. Today I completed your religion for you, and accomplished My endowment upon you, and was satisfied with The Peacing as a religion for you. But whoever was impelled in a starvation, not in proclivity to sin, then Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
5:4
They ask you what is allowed for them. Say, 'allowed for you are the beauts, and what you taught of predators, taming them, teaching them from what Allah has taught you. So, consume from what they caught upon you, and mention Allah's name upon it. And protect from Allah. Indeed, Allah is swift in appraisal.
5:5
Today all the beauts were allowed for you. And the food of those given the Scripture is allowed for you, and your food is allowed to them, and the buttressing believing women, and the buttressing women from those who were given the Scripture before you, when you give them their wages, buttressing, not disposing, nor taking concubines. And whoever disbelieves in belief, then his moil has bloated, and in the Hereafter, he will be among the losers.
5:6
O you who believed! When you rise to the salute, then wash your faces and your hands and your arms to the elbows, and wipe by your heads and your feet to the ankles. But if you were impure, then purify yourselves. And if you were malade, or upon travel or one of you comes from the toilet, or you fore touched women, but you could not find water, then pick a beaut dust and wipe your faces and hands from it. Allah does not want to put any hindrance upon you, but He wants to purify you and to finish His endowment upon you, perhaps you thank.
5:7
And remember Allah's endowment upon you and His covenant which He covenanted with you; as you said, 'We heard and we obeyed.' And protect from Allah, Indeed, Allah is Knowledgeable with that of the chests.
5:8
O you who believed! Be standees to Allah, witnesses in justice; and let not the resentment of folk urge you to be unlawful. Be lawful, that is nearer to ethic and protect from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Expert with what you moil.
5:9
Allah has vowed those who believed and moiled the decencies, to them is forgiveness and an immense wage.
As those who unbelieved and denied in Our signs, these are the companions of Hell.
O you who believed! remember Allah's endowments upon you; when some folk intended to stretch their hands towards you, then He restrained their hands from you. And protect from Allah, and upon Allah let the believers rely.
And Allah has taken the covenant of the Bairns of Israel, and We sent among them twelve chiefs. And Allah said, 'I am with you; if you upraised the salute, and gave the alms, and believed in My messengers and assisted them, and credited Allah an excellent credit; I shall expiate your misdeeds from you, and I shall enter you into Gardens beneath which rivers flow. But whoever among you unbelieves afterward, then he has deluded from the steady path.'
So, by negating their covenant, We damned them and made their hearts hard. They forge the words out of their positions, and they forgot a fortune of what they were reminded of. And you still look at a betrayal from them, except a few of them. So, pardon them, and overlook. Indeed, Allah loves the excellors.
And from those who said, 'We are Christians,' We took their covenant, but they forgot a fortune from what they were reminded with. So, We lured animosity and abhorrence between them until the Day of Arising, and Allah will inform them with what they were crafting.
O People of the Scripture! Our Messenger has come to you, revealing to you much of what you were concealing from the Scripture, and pardoning much. A light from Allah has come to you, and an evident Scripture.
Allah guides with it who followed His satisfaction, the paths of peace, and He egresses them from the darks into the light, with His consent, and He guides them to a straight route.
They have unbelieved, those who said, 'Allah is the Christ, Son of Maryam.' Say, 'So, who owns anything from Allah, if He wanted to annihilate the Christ Son of Maryam, and his mother, and everyone on earth, altogether?' And to Allah is the Monarchy of the skies and the earth and what is between them. He creates whatever He wishes, and Allah is Capable upon everything
And the Jews and the Christians said, 'We are bairns of Allah and His beloved.' Say, 'Why then is He tribulating you with your offenses?' Verily, you are barians among what He created. He forgives to whomever He wishes, and He tribulates whomever He wishes. And to Allah is the Monarchy of the skies and the earth and what is between them, and to Him is the destiny.
O People of the Scripture! Our Messenger has come to you, make evident to you, after an interval from the messengers, so as not to say, 'No cheerer and no warner has come to us.' Thus, a cheerer and a warner has come to you; and Allah is Capable upon everything.
And as Musa said to his folk, 'O my folk, remember Allah's endowments upon you, as He made Prophets among you, and made you monarchs, and gave you what He never gave any of the realms.'
O my folk enter the Sacred Land which Allah has written to you and do not rebound on your rears, so you tumble as losers.'
They said, 'O Musa, indeed, in it there are brutal folk, and we will not enter it until they egress from it. So, if they egress from it, then we are entering.'
Two men of those who feared, whom Allah had endowed upon them, said, 'Enter the door upon them; so, when you enter it, then you are quellers. And upon Allah then rely, if you are believers.'
They said, 'O Musa, we will not enter it, ever, as long as they stay in it. So, go, you and your Lord, and fight. We are in hereby sitting.'
He said, 'My Lord! I do not own except myself and my brother, so furcate between us and between the defying folk.'
He said, 'Thus, it is prohibited upon them for forty years. They stray in the earth. So, do not be sorry for the defying folk.'
And recite upon them the bulletin of Adam's two bairns with the fact; when they offered an oblation, so it was accepted from one of them, but it was not accepted from the other. He Said, 'I shall kill you.' He Said, 'Allah accepts only from the ethical.'
If you shall stretch your hand towards me to kill me, I am not stretching my hand towards you to kill you; I fear Allah, Lord of the Realms.'
I want that you abide with my sin and your sin, so you become among the companions of the Fire. And such is the recompense of the oppressors.'
So, his self prompted him the killing of his brother, so he killed him, then became of the losers.
Then Allah sent a raven digging the earth, to show him how to cover his brother's crotch. He said, 'Woe to me! Am I powerless to be like this raven, so I cover my brother's crotch?' So, he became one of the regretful.
Because of that, We wrote upon the Bairns of Israel: that whoever killed a self, without another self or devastation in the earth, it is as if he killed all the masses; and whoever revives it, it is as if he revived all the masses. And Our messengers have come to them with the evidences, but then after that, much of them are surely extravagant in the earth.
But indeed, the recompense for those who fight Allah and His Messenger, and strive for devastation in the earth, is that they are killed, or crucified, or have their hands and feet cut from behind, or be banished from the earth. That is to them a disgrace in this life, and to them in the Hereafter is an immense tribulation.
Except those who repented before you became capable upon them. So, know that Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
O you who believed! protect from Allah, and pursue the tool towards Him, and struggle in His path, perhaps you plough.
Indeed, those who unbelieved, even if to them, was everything in the earth, and the like of it with it, to ransom themselves with it from the tribulation of the Day of Arising, it will not be accepted from them. And to them is a painful tribulation.
They want to egress from the Fire, but they will not be egressing. And to them is a constant tribulation.
And the male thief and the female thief, so cut their hands as a recompense with what they have acquired, manacles from Allah. And Allah is Cherished, Wise.
But whoever repented after his oppression, and reformed, then Allah will redeem him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Do you not know that to Allah is the Monarchy of the skies and the earth? He tribulates whom He wishes, and He forgives whom He wishes. And Allah is Capable upon everything.
O Messenger! Do not let them sadden you; those who are accelerating in unbelief from among those who said with their mouths, 'We believed,' but their hearts did not believe. And from among those who Jewed, listeners to lies, listeners to other folk who, when they come to you, they forge the words after their positions, and they say, 'If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware.' And whomever Allah wants to inflict, then you will not own anything to him from Allah. Those are they whose hearts Allah did not want to purify. To them is disgrace in this mundane, and to them in the hereafter is an immense tribulation.
Listeners to lies, consumers of the illicit. So, when they come to you, rule between them, or avert from them. And if you avert from them, they will not harm you with anything. But if you ruled, then rule between them with justice. Indeed, Allah loves those who are just.
And how would they require you to rule, when they have the Torah, in it is Allah's rule? Then they elude after that. And these are not the believers.
We have descended the Torah, in it is guidance and light. The prophets who Peaced, rule with it to those who Jewed, and the rabbinic and the scholars, with what they preserved from Allah's Scripture, and were witnesses upon it. So, do not be anxious from the masses, and be anxious from Me. And do not purchase with My signs a little worth. And those who do not rule with what Allah descended, then these are the unbelievers.
And We wrote upon them in it: that the self is for a self, and the eye for an eye, and the nose for a nose, and the ear for an ear, and the tooth for a tooth, and scars as vengeance. So, whoever is charitable with it, then it is an expiation for him. And those who do not rule with what Allah descended, then these are the oppressors.
And we queued on their traces, with Issa Son of Maryam, asserting what is between his hands of the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in it is guidance and light, and asserting what is between his hands of the Torah, and a guidance and admonition to the ethical.
And let the people of The Gospel rule with what Allah descended in it. And those who do not rule with what Allah descended then these are the defiant.
And We descended the Scripture to you, with the fact, asserting the Scripture that is between its hands, and overwhelming it. So, rule between them with what Allah descended, and do not follow their whims away from the fact that has come to you. For each of you, We have made a charter and a method. And had Allah wished, He could have made you one community, but for Him to plague you through what He has given you. So, race to the rectitudes. To Allah is your return, all of you; then He will inform you about what you were differing in.
And rule between them with what Allah descended, and do not follow their whims. And beware of them, else they inflict you away from what Allah has descended to you. But if they elude, then know that Allah wants to strike them with some of their offenses. And indeed, many of the masses are surely defiant.
So, is it the rule of ignorance that they pursue? And who is better than Allah in rule to folk who are certain?
O you who believed! Do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies; some of them are the allies of some others. And whoever of you, who allies with them, then he is one of them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the oppressive folk.
So, you see those in whose hearts is a malady accelerating towards them. Saying, 'We are anxious that a turn may strike us.' So perhaps Allah will come with the triumph or a matter from him; then they will become regretful upon what they secreted in themselves.
And those who believed say, 'Are these the ones who swore by Allah with their striving oaths that they are with you?' Their works bloated, so they became losers.
O you who believed! Whoever of you rebound from his religion, then Allah will bring folk whom He loves and who love Him, debased upon the believers, cherished upon the unbelievers. They struggle in the path of Allah, and they do not fear the blame of the blamer. That is the favor of Allah; He gives it to whomever He wishes. And Allah is Vast, Knowledgeable.
Your ally is only Allah, and His Messenger, and those who believed; those who upraise the salute, and give the alms, and they are kneelers.
And whoever allies with Allah, and His Messenger, and those who believed, then the sect of Allah are the quellers.
O you who believed! Do not take those who took your religion for ridicule and play, from among those who were given the Scripture before you and the unbelievers, as allies. And protect from Allah, if you are believers.
And if you yelled to the salute, they took it for ridicule and play. That is because they are folk who do not reason.
Say, 'O People of the Scripture! Do you avenge us only because we believe in Allah, and in what was descended to us, and in what was descended before? And indeed, most of you are defiant.'
Say, 'Shall I inform you of worse than that as a prize at Allah? He whom Allah has damned, and with whom He became angry, and He made from them apes, and oinkers, and tyrant bondservants. These are in a worse place, and more deluded from the steady path.'
And when they came to you, they said, 'We believed,' though they have entered with unbelief, and they have egressed with it. And Allah is more knowledgeable with what they were concealing.
And you see much of them accelerating in sin and aggression, and in consuming the illicit. So how miserable is what they were moiling.
Was it not for the rabbinic and the scribes inhibiting them from sinful talk and from consuming the illicit, then surely miserable is what they were crafting.
And the Jews said, 'Allah's hand is shackled.' It is their hands that were shackled, and they were damned for what they said. Verily, His hands are outstretched; He confers as He wishes. And He shall increase much of them in tyranny and unbelief of what was descended to you from your Lord. And We laid between them animosity and abhorrence, until the Day of Arising. Whenever they fueled the fire for war, Allah extinguished it. And they strive for devastation in the earth. And Allah does not love the devastators.
And Had the People of the Scripture believed and ethicized, We would have expiated their misdeeds from them, and admitted them into Gardens of Opulence.
And had they upraised the Torah and the Gospel, and what was descended to them from their Lord, they would have consumed from above them, and from beneath their feet. Among them is a scanty community, but much of them is bad what they moil.
O Messenger, proclaim what was descended to you from your Lord. But if you do not, then you would not have proclaimed His message. And Allah will clasp you from the masses. Indeed, Allah does not guide the unbelieving folk.
Say, “O People of the Scripture, you are not on a thing until you upraise the Torah and the Gospel, and what was descended to you from your Lord.” But what was descended to you from your Lord will surely increase much of them in tyranny and unbelief, so do not be sorry for the unbelieving folk.
Indeed, those who believed, and those who Jewed, and the Sabaeans, and the Christians, whoever believed in Allah and the Last Day, and moiled decently, then there is no fear upon them, nor will they sadden.
We have taken the covenant of the Bairns of Israel, and We sent to them messengers. Whenever a messenger came to them with what their selves did not whim, a group denied, and a group kill.
And they supposed that it will not be an affliction, so they turned blind and deaf. Then Allah pardoned them, but then they turned blind and deaf, much of them. And Allah is Observing what they moil.
They have unbelieved, those who said, “Allah is the Messiah the Son of Maryam.” But the Messiah said, “O Bairns of Israel serve Allah, my Lord, and your Lord. Indeed, whoever associates with Allah, Allah has prohibited the Garden upon him, and his home is the Fire. And to the oppressors there are no supporters.”
They have unbelieved, those who said, “Allah is the third of three.” But there is no god except One God. And if they don’t inhibit from what they say, there shall touch those who unbelieved among them a painful tribulation.
So, will they not repent to Allah and ask for His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
The Messiah Son of Maryam is only a Messenger, before whom other Messengers had left, and his mother is a certifier. They both used to eat food. Gander how We explain the signs to them; then gander how they are faked.
Say, “Do you worship, instead of Allah, that who owns no detriment and no benefit to you?” And Allah is the Listener, the Knowledgeable.
Say, “O People of the Scripture, do not shackle in your religion other than the fact, and do not follow the whims of folk who were deluded before, and deluded many, and they were deluded from the steady path.”
Damned were those who unbelieved from among the Bairns of Israel upon the tongue of Dawood and Issa Son of Maryam. That is because they disobeyed and were transgressing.
They did not inhibit one another from any wrong they did. Surely miserable is what they were doing.
You will see much of them ally those who unbelieved. So how miserable is what their selves forwarded to them. Indeed, Allah exasperated upon them, and in the tribulation, they are eternal.
And if they were believing in Allah and the Prophet, and what was descended to him, they would not have taken them as allies. But much of them are defiant.
You will surely find that the staunchest people in animosity to those who believed are the Jews and the Associators. And you will surely find that the nearest in endearment to those who believed are those who said, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and reverends, and they do not big.
And when they heard what was descended to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing from tears, because of what they identified from the fact. They say, “Our Lord, we have believed, so write us among the witnesses.”
“And why should we not believe in Allah, and in the fact that came to us? And we are optimistic that our Lord will enter us with the decent folk.”
So, Allah prized them for what they said, Gardens beneath which rivers flow, in it, they are eternal. Such is the recompense of the excellors.
But as for those who unbelieved and denied in Our signs, these are the companions of Hell.
O you who believed! Do not prohibit the beauts that Allah has allowed to you, and do not transgress. Allah does not love the transgressors.
And consume of what Allah has catered you, allowed and beaut, and protect from Allah, in whom you are believers.
Allah does not rebuke you for chattering in your oaths, but He rebukes you for what oaths you knotted. So, its expiation is feeding ten impecunious ones from the middle of what you feed your families, or clothing them, or freeing a neck. But anyone who doesn't find then shall fast for three days. That is the expiation of your oaths if you plighted. And preserve your oaths. Likewise, Allah explains His signs to you, perhaps you thank.
O you who believed! The wine, and the gambling, and the monuments, and the draws, are but gross from the work of Satan. So, avoid it, perhaps you plough.
Satan but wants to befall animosity and abhorrence between you in wine and gambling, and occlude you from remembering Allah, and from the salute. So, are you inhibiting?
And obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and beware. So, if you elude, then know that the duty of Our Messenger is the evident proclamation.
There is no infringement upon those who believed and moiled the decencies in what they may have been fed, if they ethicized, and believed, and moiled the decencies, then they ethicized and believed, then they ethicized and excelled. And Allah loves the excellors.
O you who believed! Allah will plague you with something of the chase that your hands and spears obtain. For Allah to know who fears Him in the Absentia. So, whoever transgressed after that, then to him is a painful tribulation.
O you who believed, do not kill the chase while you are on prohibition. And if any of you killed it intentionally, then the recompense is an equivalent from animals herding reaching the Kaaba, as ruled by two with law among you, or as an expiation, the feeding of the impecunious, or its equivalent in fasting, that he may taste of the appall of his matter. Allah pardoned what has foregone. But whoever repeats then Allah will avenge him, and Allah is Cherished, the one with Vengeance.
Allowed to you is the sea chase, and its food are aliments for your and the movers. But prohibited upon you is the land chase as long as you are on prohibition. And protect from Allah, to Whom you will be squashed.
Allah made the Kaaba, the Prohibited House, a standing to the masses, and the Prohibited Month, and the herd, and the garlanded. For you to know that Allah knows what is in the skies and what is in the earth. And indeed, Allah is Knowledgeable with everything.
Know that Allah is staunch in punishment. And indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
What is upon the Messenger is only the proclamation. And Allah knows what you display and what you conceal.
Say: 'The filthy and the beaut are not equal, even though the abundance of the filthy gapes you. So, protect from Allah, O those with pulps, perhaps you plough.
O you who believed! Do not ask about things that would upset you if displayed to you. But if you were to ask about them while the Quran is being descended, they will be displayed to you. Allah pardoned about them. And Allah is Forgiving, Clement.
Folk before you have asked about it, then they became unbelievers in it.
Allah did not designate any slit-ear-she-camel, nor a let loose one, nor a sacrificial-two-female-birth one, nor a pensioned-copulation-stallion, but those who unbelieve fabricate lies about Allah, and most of them do not reason.
And when it was said to them, 'Come to what Allah has descended, and to the Messenger,' they said, 'Sufficient for us is what we found our fathers upon.' So even if their fathers did not know anything, and were not guided?
O you who believed! Upon you are your own selves. He who deluded cannot harm you if you are guided. To Allah is your return, all together, then He will inform you of what you were moiling.
O you who believed! The witness between you when one of you attends death, at the time of bequest, are two with law among you, or two persons from others if you dropped in the earth then the disaster of death struck you. You detain them after the salute so they swear by Allah if you doubted: 'We will not purchase with it any worth, even if he was with kinship, and we will not conceal Allah's testimony, for then we shall be among the sinners.'
But if it was discovered that they were charged with a sin: then two others stand in their standing, from among those who charged upon the first two, and have them swear by Allah, 'Our testimony is surely more rightful than their testimony, and we did not transgress. Indeed, then we shall be among the oppressors.'
That is the least to coming with the testimony upon its face. Or they fear that oaths might be rejected after their oaths. So, protect from Allah, and listen. And Allah does not guide the defying folk.
On the Day when Allah gathers the messengers, then say, 'What were you answered?' They said, 'We have no knowledge; it is you who is the Knower of the Absentias.'
As Allah said, 'O Issa, Son of Maryam, remember My endowment upon you and upon your mother, as I aided you with the Holy Spirit. You speak to the masses in the cradle, and as an elderly. And as I taught you the Scripture and the acumen, and the Torah and the Gospel. And as you create from the clay the appearance of a bird, with My consent, so you puff into it, then it becomes a bird, with My consent. And as you heal the born-blind and the leper, with My consent; and as you revive the dead, with My consent. And as I restrained the Bairns of Israel from you as you came to them with the evidences. So those who unbelieved among them said, `This is but an evident sorcery.''
And as I cued to the Adherents that: `Believe in Me and in My Messenger.' They said, `We believed, and witness that We are Peacers.''
As the Adherents said, 'O Issa, Son of Maryam, can your Lord descend upon us a feast from sky?' He said, 'protect from Allah if you were believers.''
They said, 'We want to eat from it, and calm our hearts, and know that you certified us and that we would be among the witnesses upon it.'
Issa, Son of Maryam, said, 'O Allah, our Lord, descend upon us a feast from the sky, to be a festival to us, to our first, and to the our latest, and a sign from You; and cater us; And You are the Best of Caterers.'
Allah said, 'I will descend it upon you. But whoever among you unbelieves thereafter, then I will tribulate him with a tribulation the like of which I never tribulates anyone from the realms.'
And as Allah said, 'O Issa, Son of Maryam, did you say to the masses, `Take me and my mother as gods instead of Allah?'' He said, 'Praise to You! It is not for me to say what I have no right to. Indeed, had I said it, then You would have known it. You know what is in myself, and I do not know what is in yourself. Indeed, You are the Knower of the Absentias.
I only told them what You ordered me: that you shall 'worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'. And I was a witness upon them while I was among them; but when You retrieved me, you were the Watcher upon them, And You are a Witness upon everything.
If You tribulate them, then they are Your bondservants; but if You forgive them, then it is You who is the Cherished, the Wise.'
Allah said, 'This is a day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness.' To them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow, in it, they are eternal forever. Allah was satisfied upon them, and they were satisfied upon Him. That is the immense victory.
To Allah is the Monarchy of the skies and the earth and what is in them, and He is Capable upon everything
