O mankind! Fear your Lord. Indeed, the earthquake of the Hour is a great thing.
On the day you see it, every wet nurse will forget what she suckles; and every pregnant woman will lay down her load; and you will see mankind intoxicated, while they are not intoxicated, but the punishment of God will be severe.
And among mankind is he who disputes concerning God without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil;
Against him it is written that he, whoever takes him for a patron, then that he, he will cause him to go astray, and he will guide him to the punishment of the blaze.
O mankind! If you are in doubt of the resurrection, then indeed We, We created you from dust, then from a sperm, then from a clot, then from an embryo, shaped and unshaped, that We may make clear for you; and We settle in the wombs what We will to a named term; then We bring you forth a child, then that you may reach your strength; and among you is he who is caused to die; and among you is he who is sent back to the most vile of life, so that after knowledge, he knows nothing. And you see the earth lifeless, then when We send down the water upon it, it stirs and swells, and it makes to grow of every beautiful kind.
That is because God, He is the Truth, and that He gives the dead life, and that He is powerful over everything;
And that the Hour is coming, there is no doubt concerning it; and that God will raise those who are in the graves.
And among mankind is he who disputes concerning God without knowledge nor guidance nor an illuminating book;
Turning away his side to cause to go astray from the way of God; for him in the world is disgrace, and We will make him taste, on the Day of Resurrection, the punishment of the fire.
That is for what your two hands have sent forward, and that God is not unjust to the servants.
And among mankind is he who serves God on an edge. So if good befalls him, he is at ease with it, and if a trial befalls him, then he turns over upon his face. He has lost the world and the hereafter. That, it is the clear loss.
He calls besides God on what does not harm him and what does not profit him. That, it is the far error.
He calls surely on one whose harm is nearer than his profit. Surely, evil is the master and surely, evil is the companion.
Indeed, God will make those who believed and did the good works enter gardens beneath which the rivers flow; indeed, God does what He desires.
Whoever thinks that God will not help him in the world and the hereafter, then let him extend a rope to the heaven, then let him cut off, then let him see whether his plot will definitely remove what enrages.
And thus We sent it down, signs, clear proofs. And that God guides whom He desires.
Indeed, those who have believed, and those who became Jews, and the Sabaeans, and the Christians, and the Magians, and those who associated partners, indeed, God will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection; indeed, God is a witness over everything.
Did you not see that God, to Him prostrates whoever is in the heavens, and whoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the creatures, and many among mankind, and many the punishment is due upon him? And he who God abases, then there is no bestower of honour for him; indeed, God does what He wills.
These two litigants disputed concerning their Lord, then those who disbelieved, garments of fire will be cut out for them, the hot water will be poured over their heads,
With it what is in their bellies and the skins will be melted,
And for them are maces of iron.
Every time they desire to go out of it from grief, they will be returned into it. And taste the punishment of the fire.
Indeed, God will make those who believed and did the good works enter gardens beneath which the rivers flow; they will be adorned in it with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garment in it is silk.
And they were guided to the good of the speech, and they were guided to the way of the Praiseworthy.
Indeed, those who disbelieved and hinder from the way of God and the sacred mosque, the one which We made for mankind, equal is the one who devotes himself in it and the bedouin; and whoever desires deviation and injustice in it, We will make him taste of a painful punishment.
And when We settled for Abraham the place of the House that, 'Do not associate anything with Me, and purify My house for those who circumambulate, and those who stand, and those who bow, the prostration.
And announce among mankind the pilgrimage; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep ravine,
That they may witness benefits for them and mention the name of God on known days on what He provided them of the beast of cattle. So eat of them and feed the miserable, the needy.
Then let them finish the neglect of their persons, and let them fulfil their vows and let them circumambulate the old house.'
That, and whoever magnifies the sacred things of God, then it is better for him with his Lord. And the cattle are made lawful for you, except what is recited to you; so avoid the uncleanness of the idols and avoid the speech of the lie.
Upright for God, not associating partners with Him. And whoever associates partners with God, then it is as if he fell down from the heaven, then the birds snatch him or the wind blows him in a far away place.
That, and whoever magnifies the symbols of God, then indeed, it is from piety of the hearts.
For you in them are benefits to a named term; then their place of sacrifice is at the old house.
And for every nation We have made a rite, that they may mention the name of God on what He provided them of the beast of cattle. So your god is one god, so to Him submit. And give glad tidings to the humble,
Those who when God is mentioned, their hearts are afraid, and those who are patient over what befell them, and those who are steadfast in the prayer, and from what We have provided them they spend.
And the fat camels, We have made them for you among the symbols of God. For you in them is good; so mention the name of God on them lined up, then when their sides fall down, then eat of them, and feed the content and the miserable. Thus We subjected them to you, perhaps you may give thanks.
Their meat will not attain God, nor their bloods, but the piety from you attains Him. Thus He subjected them to you that you may magnify God on what He guided you. And give glad tidings to the good-doers.
Indeed, God defends those who believed; indeed, God does not love every ungrateful traitor.
Permission is given to those who were fought because they, they were wronged. And indeed, God is surely powerful over helping them,
Those who were driven out of their homes without right except that they say, 'Our Lord is God.' And if not for God repelling mankind, some of them with some, cloisters and churches and synagogues and mosques, in which the name of God is mentioned much would surely be demolished. And God will surely, definitely help he who helps Him; indeed, God is surely strong, mighty.
Those who, if We establish them in the earth, are steadfast in the prayer, and give the alms, and bid the good and forbid from the bad. And for God is the end of the affairs.
And if they call you a liar, then certainly, the people of Noah and 'Ad and Thamud denied before them,
And the people of Abraham and the people of Lot,
And the fellows of Midian, and Moses was called a liar; then I gave respite to the disbelievers, then I seized them, then how was My disapproval?
So how many a town which We destroyed while it was doing wrong, so it has fallen down on its roofs, and a neglected well and a lofty palace?
So did they not travel in the earth? So are there hearts for them with which they comprehend or are there ears with which they hear? So indeed, they, the eyes, are not blind, but the hearts which are in the breasts are blind.
And they ask you to hasten with the punishment. And God will not break His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count.
And how many a town which I gave respite to while it was doing wrong? Then I seized it and to Me is the destination.
Say, 'O mankind! I am only a clear warner to you.'
So those who believed and did the good works, for them is forgiveness and a noble provision;
And those who strove concerning Our signs to frustrate, those are the fellows of the hellfire.
And We sent not before you a messenger nor a prophet except when he wished, the devil threw in his wish; then God cancels what the devil throws; then God makes firm His signs, and God is knowing, wise.
That He may make what the devil throws a trial for those in whose hearts is sickness and those whose hearts are hard. And indeed, the wrongdoers are surely in far schism.
And that those who were given the knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord, then that they may believe in it, then that their hearts may be humble to it. And indeed, God is surely guiding those who believed to a straight way.
And those who disbelieved will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes to them suddenly or the punishment of a barren day comes to them.
The kingdom on that day is for God, He will judge between them. Then those who believed and did the good works will be in the gardens of pleasure,
And those who disbelieved and called Our signs lies, then those, for them will be a shameful punishment.
And those who emigrated in the way of God, then were killed or died, surely God will definitely provide a good provision for them. And indeed, God, surely, He is the best of providers.
He will surely, definitely make them enter an entrance which they will be pleased with. And indeed, God is surely knowing, clement.
That, and whoever punished with like what he was punished with, then outrage is committed on him, God will surely, definitely help him; indeed, God is surely pardoning, forgiving.
That is because God makes the night enter into the day and He makes the day enter into the night; and that God is hearing, seeing.
That is because God, He is the Truth; and that what they call on besides Him, it is the falsehood; and that God, He is the High, the Great.
Did you not see that God sent down water from the heaven, then the earth becomes green? Indeed, God is surely kind, aware.
For Him is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth; and indeed, God, surely, He is the Rich, the Praiseworthy.
Did you not see that God has subjected to you what is in the earth, and the ships sailing in the sea by His command? And He holds the heaven lest it falls down on the earth except with His permission. Indeed, God is surely pitying, compassionate with mankind.
And He is the one who gave you life, then He will cause you to die, then He will give you life; indeed, man is surely ungrateful.
For every nation We have made a rite which they observe; so definitely do not let them dispute with you concerning the affair. And call to your Lord, indeed, you are surely on straight guidance.
And if they dispute with you, then say, 'God knows best what you do.'
God will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning what you used to disagree about.
Did you not know that God knows what is in the heaven and the earth? Indeed, that is in a book; indeed, that for God is easy.
And they serve besides God what He did not send down authority for and what they have no knowledge of; and there is no helper for the wrongdoers.
And when Our signs, clear proofs, are recited to them, you recognise the denial in the faces of those who disbelieved; they almost attack those who recite Our signs to them. Say, 'So shall I inform you of worse than that? The fire, God has promised it to those who disbelieved, and evil is the destination.'
O mankind! A similitude is struck, so listen to it. Indeed, those whom you call on besides God will not create a fly even if they gathered together for it. And if the fly dispossesses them of a thing, they cannot rescue it from it; weak is the seeker and the sought.
They measured not God truly His value; indeed, God is surely strong, mighty.
God chooses messengers from the angels and from mankind; indeed, God is hearing, seeing.
He knows what is before them and what is behind them; and to God the affairs will be returned.
O those who believed! Bow and prostrate and serve your Lord and do good, perhaps you may prosper;
And strive concerning God truly His striving. He, He chose you, and He has placed no straitness upon you in the religion; the religion of your father, Abraham. He named you the submitters before and in this, that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over mankind. So be steadfast in the prayer and give the alms and take tight hold of God, He is your master, so excellent is the master, and excellent is the helper.
