Read! In the name of your Lord Who created
"created man from a (tiny) clot, clinging (to its mother),"
Read! And your Lord is Most Generous
Who taught by the Pen
taught man what he did not know
"No, but truly man is arrogant;"
he thinks that he needs no help (from Allah)
Surely the return (of all things) is to Allah
Have you seen the one who prevent
a servant (of Allah) from praying
"Have you considered whether he is following guidance,"
or encourages righteousness
Have you considered: what if he denies (the truth) and turns away
Does he not know that Allah sees (him)
"No, surely, if he does not stop We will grab him by his forelock;"
"a lying, sinful forelock;"
then let him call his friends and protectors (as if thy could help)
We will call the angels of punishment (to deal with him)
"No! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and draw near (to Allah)."
