Has the news of the overwhelming event come to you?
Some faces that day will be cast down in humiliation,
belabored and fatigued.
They will burn in a fire incandescent.
They will be given to drink from a spring most scalding.
There will be no food for them except that of a thorny tree,
it neither nourishes nor does it avail from hunger.
Some [other] faces on that day will be blissful,
pleased with their endeavors,
in a garden most high.
You will not hear therein any jargons.
There are fast flowing springs.
Therein are beds raised high,
and goblets well deployed,
and cushions well aligned,
and carpets well spread.
Do they not look at the camel, how it was created?
And unto the firmament how it was raised?
And unto the mountains how they were erected?
And unto the earth how it was spread out?
Therefore remind, for you are but one who reminds.
You are not put in charge over them,
but as for such a one who turns away and disbelieves,
then Allah will punish him the greatest punishment.
Truly their return is unto Us.
Then truly their reckoning is upon Us.
