Have you heard the story of the overwhelming calamity?
Some faces that day will be humiliated.
[They will be] sullen and tired.
[That will be] while they enter the blazing fire.
[That will be] while they are given to drink from a boiling spring.
There will be no food for them except a bitter, thorny plant.
It will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger.
Some faces that day will be joyful.
[They will be] pleased with their striving.
[They will be] in a garden on high.
They will hear no foolish talk.
In it will be a bubbling spring.
In it will be thrones raised high.
[There will be] placed goblets.
[There will be] cushions set in rows.
Rich carpets will be laid.
Do they not observe the camels and how they are made?
[Do they not observe] the sky and how it is raised high?
[Do they not observe] the mountains and how they are firmly fixed?
[Do they not observe] the earth and how it is spread?
Give advisement, for you are one to advise.
You can’t control them.
If anyone turns away and rejects faith,…
…Allah will punish him/her with the greatest punishment.
Truly, to Us will be their return.
It will be up to Us to make them accountable.
