(I swear) by the sky, with (all) its constellations
(And by) the promised day (of Judgment)
And (by) the witness (bearing the evidence), as well as the evidence (itself)
Doomed are the people of the ditch
(The ditch) full of fire and abundant fuel
Remember, when the unbelievers sat by the fire
And were themselves witness to what they did to the believers
They were hostile (and rancorous), just because the believers believed in Allah, the most Powerful and the most Praiseworthy
To Whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. Allah is the Witness to every single thing
Indeed, those who persecuted the believing men and women and then failed to repent, would (certainly) face the torture of hell. For them, is the punishment of the blazing fire
While the (blissful) paradise _ rivers run right through it _ is for those who believe and do righteous deeds. That is the greatest triumph
Your Lord´s punishment is very severe, indeed
It is He Who created; and He it is, Who will recreate
He is the most Forgiving and the most Loving
Owner of the majestic throne
(The Efficient Achiever)! He does what He pleases
Has the story of the armies reached you
(Armies of) the pharaoh and the (people of) ´Samood´
The unbelievers, in fact (were and) are (persistent) in their denial
Allah has surrounded them all around
This (narrative) is certainly the majestic Qur´an
Safely preserved on (the sacred) slates
