Woe to those who give less in measure and weight (defraud),
those who, when they receive by measure from people, demand full measure,
but when they give by measure or give by weight to others, they give less than due.
Don’t they think that they will be resurrected
on a great Day,
the Day when all mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
Nay! Truly, the record of the deeds of the wicked is (preserved) in prison register (Sijjin),
and what will make you know what Sijjin is?
A register inscribed (of hell).
Woe on that Day to those who deny (disbelievers),
who deny the Day of recompense!
None can deny it except every transgressor beyond bounds, the sinner!
When Our Verses (of the Qur’an) are recited to them, they say: “Tales of the ancients!”
Nay! But their sins and evil deeds which they used to earn have caused a covering on their hearts.
Nay! Surely, on that Day, they (evil-doers) will be veiled from (the vision of) their Lord.
Then, surely they will indeed burn in the hell,
and it will be said to them: “This is what you used to deny!”
Nay! Surely, the record of the righteous deeds is indeed (preserved) in register of exalted ones (Illiyun),
and what will make you know what Illiyun is?
A register inscribed (of Paradise),
bears witness of those who are nearest (to Allah, i.e. the angels).
Surely, the righteous will be in delight (Paradise),
on thrones, looking (at all things),
you will recognize in their faces the brightness of delight.
They will be given to drink from pure sealed wine,
the seal of that wine will be smell of musk. Those who want to strive, let them strive.
That (wine) will be a mixture of Tasnim,
a spring where those nearest to Allah will drink.
Surely! Those who committed crimes (in this world), used to laugh at those who believed,
and wink one to another (in mockery) whenever they passed by them.
When they returned to their own people, they would return joking.
When they saw them (believers), they used to say: “Surely! These people have indeed gone astray,”
though they (disbelievers) had not been sent over them (believers) as watchers.
On that Day (the Day of Resurrection) the believers will laugh at the disbelievers,
as they recline on high couches and look (at then saying):
“Are not the disbelievers rewarded for what they used to do?”
