When the sun is folded up
And when the stars lose their lustre
And when the mountains are moved
And when the ten-months pregnant camels are abandoned
And when the wild beasts are gathered
And when the seas overflow
And when the souls are rejoined (with their bodies)
And when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked
For what sin was she killed
And when the scrolls [of human deeds] are laid open
And when the sky is stripped off
And the Hell stoked
And the Paradise brought near
Every person comes to know what he has brought along.
No! [The misgivings of the people that do not believe in these revelations are not correct, and] I swear by the star
That retreat and hide,
And by the night as it moves
And the morning as it breathes
This is indeed the word of a noble [Angel] Messenger
A mighty One with the Lord of the Throne
One to be obeyed besides being trustworthy
And your companion [Prophet Muhammad] is not mad
And he did certainly see the Angel Messenger on the clear horizon
And he [Prophet] does not grudge (conveying what has been revealed to him) of the Unseen
And it is not a word of accursed Satan
Where then are you going
This is nothing but Good Counsel for the worlds
For any of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way
And you wish not unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes
