He (Muhammed) frowned and turned his back,
that the blind man came to him.
And what will make you realize that he might have purified himself,
or be reminded, so that (your) reminding might have profited him.
As for him who is carefree (wealthy),
to him then, you pay attention.
And if he does not purify himself, the responsibility is not on you.
And as for him who comes to you striving hard
and he fears,
from him you are distracted .
No, it is certainly a reminder,
so whoever wills let him remember it.
(It is) in pages honoured,
elevated, clean,
in the hands of writers
honoured, virtuous.
Perished be man, how ungrateful he is !
From what thing did He create him?
He created him from a sperm, then programmed him (to follow a certain path),
then, He eased that path for him.
Then He causes him to die then buries him.
Then, when He wills, He will raise him.
No, he has not done that which He commanded him to do.
So let man look at his food:
How We pour water in the form of rain,
then We split the earth, (with) a splitting
then We cause to grow therein, grain
and grapes and green fodder
and olive trees and date palms
and dense gardens
and fruits and herbage.
A provision for you and for your cattle.
Then when the deafening sound comes,
(it will be) a day when man will run away from his brother
and his mother and his father
and his wife and his sons,
on that day, for everyone of them there will be enough concern to keep him unconcerned with others
(Some) faces on that day will be bright,
laughing, rejoicing at the good news,
(while other) faces on that day will have dust over them,
being covered with darkness.
Those are the infidels, the transgressors.
