I swear by the Day of Resurrection.
I swear by the self-reproaching soul.
Does man think We will not reassemble his bones?
Yes, We are able to restore even his fingertips.
But man wants to go on sinning ahead of him.
He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
When the sight is dazed.
The moon is eclipsed.
The sun and moon are joined together.
On that Day man will cry, "Where is the escape?"
No! There is no refuge.
To your Lord is the final destination that Day.
On that Day man will be informed of what he sent ahead and what he left behind.
Man will be a witness against himself.
Even if he throws out his excuses.
Do not move your tongue with it to hasten it.
It is upon Us to collect it and recite it.
So when We recite it, follow its recitation.
Then it is upon Us to make it clear.
No! You love the immediate life.
You abandon the Hereafter.
Some faces that Day will be radiant.
Looking at their Lord.
Some faces that Day will be grim.
Expecting a spine-breaking blow to befall them.
No! When it reaches the collarbones.
It is said, "Is there any healer?"
He knows it is the final parting.
Leg is wrapped around leg.
To your Lord that Day is the driving.
He did not believe, nor did he pray.
But he denied and turned away.
Then he went to his family, strutting.
Woe to you, and woe!
Then woe to you, and woe!
Does man think he will be left aimless?
Was he not a drop of emitted fluid?
Then he became a clinging clot, and He created and formed.
Then He made from him the two mates: male and female.
Is He not able to give life to the dead?
