The Hour (of Judgment) has drawn nearer, and the moon has been torn apart (cleft asunder.
And if they see a Sign they turn away, and say: "This is persistent magic."
They reject (the warning) and follow their (own) desires and every matter has its appointed time
And indeed there have already come to them, recitations in which there is (enough) warning
Perfect wisdom (in this Quran)— But (the preaching of) warners does not profit them
Therefore, (O Prophet,) turn away from them. The Day when the Caller will call (them) to a terrible affair
They will come forth— Their eyes humbled—. From (their) graves, (dazed) like locusts scattered aboard
Hastening, with eyes transfixed, towards the Caller! The unbelievers will say: "Hard is this Day!"
Before them, the people of Nuh (Noah) rejected (their prophet): They rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!," and he was driven out
Then he called on his Lord: "I am the one overcome: Then You help (me)!"
So, We opened the gates of heaven, with water pouring forth
And We caused the earth to gush forth with spring so, the waters met (and rose) to the decreed level
And We bore him on an (Ark) made of broad planks held together with palm-fiber
She (the Ark) floated under Our eyes (and care): A reward to the one who had been rejected (with contempt by his own people)
And indeed, We have left this as a Sign (for all time): Then is there any who will receive the teachings
Then! How (terrible) was my Penalty and My Warning
And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember: Then is there any who will receive the teachings
The ‘Ad (people also) rejected (the Truth): Then! How terrible was my Penalty and My Warning
Verily, We sent against them a furious wind, on a Day of violent disaster
Plucking out men as if they were roots of palm-trees torn up (from the ground)
Then! How (terrible) was my Penalty and My Warning
And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember: Then is there any who will receive the teachings
The (people of) Samood (Thamud), also rejected (their) Warners
And they said: "A man! A solitary one from among ourselves! Shall we follow him? Truly, should we then be straying in mind, and mad
"Is it that the Message sent to him of all people amongst us? No! He is a liar, a disrespectful one!"
They will know the next day, who is the liar, the disrespectful one
Verily, We will send the she-camel by the way of trial for them. So watch them, (O Salih) and keep yourself in patience
And tell them that the water is to be divided between them: Each ones right to drink being brought forward (by suitable turns)
But they called to their companion (in evil) and he took a sword in hand, and killed (the she-camel cutting her hamstrings)
Then! How (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning
Verily, We sent against them a single Mighty Blast, and they became like the dry stubble used by one that keeps the cattle
And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember: Then is there any who will receive the teachings
The People of Lut (Lot) rejected (his) warning
Verily, We sent against them a violent tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: (And) We delivered them by early part of the morning—
As a Grace from Us: Thus do We reward those who give thanks
And (Lut) did warn them of Our punishment, but they disputed about the Warning
And they even sought to snatch away his guests from him, so, We blinded their eyes. (And they heard:) "Now you taste My Wrath and My Warning."
And Verily, early on the next day an abiding punishment seized them
"So you taste My Wrath and My Warning."
And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember: Then is there any who will receive the teachings
Also to the People of Firon (Pharaoh), before have, came Warners (from Allah)
They (the people) rejected all Our Signs; So, We seized them with such penalty (that comes) from Almighty (Aziz, Exalted in Power), Able and Powerful (Muqtadir) to enforce His Will
Are your unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they were or have you an immunity in the Sacred Books
Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves?"
Soon will their multitude be put to flight and they will show their backs
No! But the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most painful and most bitter
Truly, those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad
The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (it will be said:) "You taste the touch of Hell!"
Surely, all things We have created in proportion and measure
And Our Command is but a single (Act)— Like the twinkle of an eye
And indeed (often) in the past, We have destroyed groups like you: Then is there any who will receive the teachings
And all that they do is noted in (their) books (of deeds)
And every matter, small and large, is on record
Verily, as to those who act right, they will be in the in the midst of gardens and streams
In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Almighty (Muqtadir, Omnipotent Allah)
